I am Dr. Devyani Pandit. I have completed my Ph.D. in Education. I have been working in this field of education for over 30 years.
The Time for Change is Now
The times are changing. In these changing times, the challenges, needs, and aspirations are different too. We will be able to solve these issues by using new methods. I have trained more than 10,000 individuals in the area of creativity and innovation.
Psycho- social- economic issues of senior citizens
Challenges due to gaps between higher education curricula and industry needs.
Increasing number of cyber crimes, increased violence and other common problems.
Psycho-social-economic issues of young generation and women
Cybercrimes, water scarcity, traffic issues, deteriorating environment, uncleanliness, increasing violence, indiscipline, and uncivil behavior are the main issues which Pune citizens are facing. And because of these issues, our quality of life is not as good as we deserve.
Public education and people’s contribution are the most effective ways to solve Pune’s issues and enhance development. My manifesto is based on these principles.
In my view, the major issues of Pune extend beyond the water crisis and traffic chaos. They include:

My main objective would be improving quality of life of every citizen of Pune.
My action plan is as follows
Improving quality of physical environment and other civic facilities.
Organising programs related to Technological education, happy and healthy life for the senior citizens.
Organising Programs related to personality development , employability skills , start-ups for the youth.
Improving quality of socio and cultural environment
Boosting education quality by training all stakeholders and aligning higher education with industry needs.
Innovative competitions based on different facets of intelligence, different types of arts for all the age groups.
Creative problem solving competitions for solving city issues in an innovative way
Special innovative programs for women to showcase their talents in various area
I am proposing an innovative project “Smart education for Smart city”. Because of this project , Pune will be known as educationally unique city across the world
I am quite confident that with the whole hearted support of every Pune citizen , I will be able to achieve these objectives and Pune will be the 1st Model SMART City of India.
Though my manifesto looks short, it encompasses the big idea of Transforming Pune through people participation and implementing innovative solutions to the problems faced by our city
I would certainly like to interact and discuss my ideas and thoughts in small meetings.
